HAND ELEPHANT RECORDS CHARTER |
- We will implement any steps necessary to minimise our carbon footprint
- We will contribute, in perpetuity, a minimum of 10% of our net profits to worthy causes, such as animal shelters, women’s refuges, community groups etc
- We will at all times seek to encourage and support promising musicians who are starting out, including financial assistance whenever it is appropriate
- We will actively support and promote all Southern Highlands original, independent musicians by any means possible
- We will at all times strive to ensure that all opportunities generated by our business are offered to people we know or who are recommended by people we know. We will, by this effort, attempt to create and sustain a feeling of family within our business
- Wherever possible, we will use local, Southern Highlands suppliers for any purchases. Where this is not possible, we commit to make every effort to use only Australian suppliers
- We will comply with any and all regulations pertaining to our business. We will at all times be open, honest and transparent in our dealings with the Australian Tax Office and other Government bodies, state or federal
- We will have fun, we will be a company that people enjoy dealing with, we won’t sweat the small stuff and we will reward all our partners fairly and promptly

Hand Elephant Records is a record label set up initially for the purpose of recording Adventures With Alice's album, which is set to be released in 2008. In fact, Adventures With Alice came first, when songwriter Debbie Rollason decided to compile some of her more recent compositions into an album. From that decision, the whole process has grown exponentially. With the help of Jo (VP Online Interface), the website has sprouted from a one-page synopsis with a photograph to the site you're on today. Janet, VP Art, came up with a brilliant logo, part of the branding of Hand Elephant Records. And the snowball keeps on growing, with different musicians being involved in the process and more and more equipment being brought in to ease the task of creating a full-length album from scratch.
Hand Elephant Records is a registered business in NSW. Our purpose is to record and sell the album that Adventures With Alice will record over the coming months. We have a mailing list and would love you to join it. We promise to keep your information totally private. We will never sell any email address to anybody and will only use your email address to keep you updated with events and offers from Adventures With Alice and Hand Elephant Records.
